The brief for this masterclass was to research the Bowlcut hairstyle in preparation for the wig making workshop.
Research on the bowlcut through the years.
Sam started the day by presenting his work to date. He has an impressive portfolio. A lot of his wig making has been self taught which was interesting as the collection of wigs he brought were of an incredible standard.
We all then presented our research and moodboards of our chosen style to the group. Sam then advised on the best way to approach each style to make the wigs.
It was such an enjoyable day! We learned so much as a group helping each other. Sam was on hand to advise and the end result was that everyone left with a great wig!
Wig making is an invaluable skill to have in today’s salon. They allow you to really push boundaries in colour and cut without the restrictions that models can often present.
Thanks to the Fellowship , Sam and the team at Alan D academy for another inspirational day
