Last month was the finale evening for Project X and Colour Project 2017, hosted at the new RUSH Academy in London. Both teams collaborated to create a collection of work demonstrating the knowledge and skills learned over the year.
"I was inspired by the class with Richard Phillipart and Ashleigh Hodges where they explained how to find ideas by looking outwith the hairdressing industry. I looked at influences in music as well as those around me, that 'street style' where individuals express themselves. I enjoyed creating hair pieces with Sam Burnett and so I knew I wanted to incorporate those techniques into my design. I follow the work of global session stylists and I especially love the work of Frank Apostolopoulos and Sam McKnight. All my influences combined to create this Street Tribal Eco Warrior"
Louise joined Project X at the start of the year and has attended workshops in London from Fellowship mentors including Mark Hayes of Sassoons, Sam Burnett, Richard Phillipart, Ashleigh Hodges, Tracey Devine-Smith, & Alan Hemmings.
The group also created a collection for their shoot, 90's revolution, which was mentored by Adam Bryant and Sharon Peake.
Project X is an amazing opportunity to meet with like minded creatives and learn new skills and techniques.
